David, are there enough members that are interested and can take the entire day off of work? Is there no possibility of a weekend venture to the tech center? Ironically, with the stated times, I can go but I don’t want others to miss out on the opportunity.

I say we do a one day trip up to Hay River, NT, Canada for a quick flight up to Yellowknife, NT, Canada on the DC-3. I am sure our little warriors/archers/tomahawks/etc could make it there and back without a problem. It certainly would be interesting. In all seriousness, anyone know of a DC-3 in [...]

I hope your right, but I don’t see a difference between Princeton’s METAR or Digiwx page and Robbinsville’s and their’s have been operationing for a while. Additionally, the e-mail I received suggested that the systems are “complete”ly functioning. Did you try clicking the mike on 123.0?

I found out that Princeton’s (39N) is broadcasting the AWOS on their CTAF by clicking the PTT button five or so times. If you are in the N87 area, give it a try. As for AirNav and AOPA, I am sure that they won’t report METARs until someone notifies them that they are operational. But [...]

Miguel has beaten me to the punch on this. I have been planning on writing a little note about this since our last meeting when it was finally confirmed to me that we have an active weather sensing device at N87. Like others, months ago I received an e-mail about the approval and plan to [...]

Hello all- I just wanted to tell everyone about the EFB seminar that took place in Doylestown, PA last weekend.  It was a well organized event held by the Doylestown Pilots Association (DPA) and was held off airport at a Lincoln Mercury dealer.  As far as the content, it was nothing mind blowing.  The FAA Rep [...]

I have only used my iPad once in the air and it was a huge success. I plan on going to the GPS seminar this weekend at Doylestown Airport. They are specifically going over using the iPad and Foreflight so it should be a good time. Currently I am going alone if anyone wants to [...]
