MFC’s hanger session, was another great one!

11:12 pm in General by Admiral Duvak

Just recapping the last hanger sessions overview for those that missed some details we discussed. At our session on Friday, we gained a new member. (Welcome again Corey) Corey  of o NJ. Corey has had his license for a while, and looks to possibly come out of a hiatus in the mere future to relive his hard earned pilot certificate privileges! Our good member Ken Krewson, also gave a great presentation on his experience renting a GA plane in Hawaii! Fun time as it appeared to he had have as well! On top of that, our flight instructor in training,(Admiral) Gave a lecture on what will be a multi part segment  throughout the year of ‘aircraft survival equipment part one.’ In this segment, he went over the use of an aviation approved fire extinguisher., why it might be important to equip your aircraft with one, and knowing the proper grade of one! (Quiz on this towards the mid point of the  by the way!)

The administrated segment, consisted of going over ways to attract some new members briefly, and increase the membership growth. (flyer’s, etc.) More guest speakers at meetings is another,(which by the way, we may have one in March), and so on. Any suggestions by the way is welcome! Our flyout batteries are still on idle being we have three more weeks of winter left, and don’t want to deal with the work of taking the ‘fun’ out of flying. Hopefully in March, MFCS flying batteries will be ready for usage. The consensus as of now, is still keep this year a ‘pick an event on the go’ sort of consent. This winter kept us grounded somewhat, and who knows what will summers weather hold for us. After, we are all involved in Mercer Flying Club to have fun right? The looser of things, the better!

So friends, their is your recap, and if anyone has any input on anything, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me!

Sincerely,

Dave Duvak!
